Sarah Chahley is part of the Knowledge Mobilisation Hub team with our communications support team (Voor Urban Labs). Sarah is supporting NUICC to build on the ongoing relationships with all of the coalitions. She is Tsimshian, from the House of Gitxon on her mother’s side, and of mixed settler ancestry on her father’s side. She lives and works on the traditional and unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw people, on Vancouver Island. She is currently completing a bachelor’s degree in Indigenous Social Work at the University of Victoria, and is actively involved in the reclamation of the Sm’aglyax language within the Tsimshian community in BC, Alaska and Washington State.
NUICC Survey and Outreach Work
Throughout the next few weeks, Sarah is reaching out to coalitions to share what the national table has been working on, while looking for information on your upcoming events and policy actions.
If your coalition has not yet completed the NUICC survey, Sarah is happy to assist, as the information gathered helps to build a strong foundation for informing our work, moving forward. We look forward to connecting with each coalition and to strengthen our relationships as we work together building a strong national voice for urban Indigenous peoples nationwide.
